Expenditure: Scheme Expenditure

Introduction


Scheme Expenditure covers payments on capital funded development schemes, plus major repairs and planned & cyclical maintenance projects charged to revenue.

Before any item of expenditure can be authorised a Project Code must be obtained from Finance using the standard form A3  - Capital Scheme Record Update (CSRU).

A separate Project Code should be obtained for each tenure type.

It is also important to be aware of the provisions of The Construction Act when processing contractual payments, particularly if it is intended either to dispute the gross amount or to make a deduction from the payment.
